    Asset screening system for midstream energy

    Problem

    Screening of midstream energy assets lived in Excel and ran on analyst hours: data was gathered and the same analysis rebuilt by hand for each evaluation.

    What Josh did

    Built pipelines that ingest the asset data and run the screening analysis automatically, so the manual collection and rebuild steps no longer sit with the analysts.

    Result

    A screening workflow where data arrives and is analysed in one system, and analysts start from a prepared picture rather than a blank spreadsheet.

    Dynamic route-cost system for energy logistics

    Problem

    Trucking route costs between energy facilities change, and route pricing needed to change with them rather than stay fixed once a route was planned.

    What Josh did

    Built a trucking route optimizer that reprices routes as their costs change, fed by scraped data on the facilities trucks actually move between.

    Result

    A route-cost model that can be re-evaluated as its inputs change, giving a current cost view for a route instead of a fixed one.

    Founded Future Summit in 2025 as an independent executive platform: a flagship gathering, curated dinners, roundtables, delegations and a year-round programme connecting Canadian industry, government, institutions and global capital.

    Result

    A working platform for the convening and relationship work described across this site. Coverage of the launch and the flagship event is linked on the Future Summit page.
